HotelTonight expands to Russian market

HotelTonight, a US-based company that organises last-minute online hotel bookings with a mobile application, is expanding into the Russian market. It is focusing on hotels in Moscow and St Petersburg, with plans to add other locations in Russia for summer and May holidays, such as Sochi, Kazan, Kaliningrad and the Golden Ring towns. The company’s management is counting on domestic tourists because they tend to make spontaneous, last-minute plans, and because domestic holidays in Russia had a 40% increase in 2014 and are predicted to have a 30% to 50% increase this year. HotelTonight operates in 500 cities around the world and has 15,000 hotels in its database. Read more: rbth.com
