All city museums in Moscow will be free on Sunday 19 April, when the city celebrates the Historical and Cultural Heritage Day. Some of the venues to open their doors to the public include the Darwin Museum, the Gulag Museum, the Archaeological Museum and the Museum of Cosmonautics. The Tretyakov Gallery, the Historical Museum and the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts will not be free since they are federal, not city museums. There will also be free events around Moscow such as guided tours, special events in the parks, open doors at theatres, libraries and many embassies, as well as a historical adventure quest.
