Officials in Copenhagen could soon shelve a landmark city bike scheme as the provider, GoBike, has failed to deliver all of the 1860 techno-bikes ordered. The bicycles, complete with electric motors and GPS-enabled tablets are aimed at tourists and commuters but less than a quarter of the bikes have been delivered. Under pressure from critics who say the scheme is too costly, the City of Copenhagen has given GoBike an ultimatum to produce the remaining bikes within 14 days, or the plug will be pulled on the programme. GoBike CEO Torben Aagaard has said the firm is working hard to find a solution. Read more: thelocal.dk
