Turkish lira hits new record low against US dollar

US holidaymakers travelling to Turkey this spring could be in for an impressive exchange rate as the lira hit a new all-time low against the US dollar on Monday. The Turkish currency has lost about 12% of its value so far this year, with the drop attributed to domestic political instability, high inflation and a rally in the US dollar.
