Britain’s summer cinema season offers fans the opportunity to watch Jaws from a dinghy in an outdoor pool, Monty Python & the Holy Grail in Cardiff Castle or The Imitation Game in Kensington Roof Gardens. Companies offering screenings have used increasingly unusual venues (many of them in historic buildings or outdoor spaces) in recent years, while Secret Cinema has set its sceenings inside movie-set recreations – this year the company is taking on The Empire Strikes Back.
