Virgin passengers stranded in Vegas for 33 hours

A flight to London was stranded in Las Vegas for 33 hours due to mechanical issues to the dismay of passengers. Virgin, the airline operating the flight, put up the 100 passengers in hotel rooms the first night, but on  the second night the passengers became stranded in the airport terminal. The passengers took to social media to vent their frustrations. One passenger tweeted: ‘@VirginAtlantic still stuck at Las Vegas airport for 30+ hour delay. Is this the new script for the hangover4? You couldn’t write this stuff.’ The airline apologized for the delay and inconvenience, offering to reimburse passengers for any reasonable expenses and compensation of $600 per person.
