New 'affordable' food market opens in Copenhagen

Copenhagen continues to strengthen its reputation as the food capital of the Nordics with the opening of a new market this weekend. Kødbyen Mad & Marked follows in the footsteps of the hugely popular Torvehallerne, but the founders of the latest food market are determined to keep its products affordable for all. Co-founder Simon Bacon Kullegaard said, “The goal is to create a market that a single mother and a student will be able to afford to visit every weekend.” Located in Vesterbro, Kødbyen Mad & Marked will be open every Saturday, plus the first Sunday of each month, until September.
