Thailand scrambles to remove bans on international flights

Thai airlines and tour operators are in damage control after the International Civil Aviation Organization flagged significant concerns about the country’s aviation safety, leading Japan to block all new flights from Thailand, and South Korea to consider similar measures. Among the airlines forced to cancel flights are budget carriers NokScoot, Thai AirAsia X, and Asia Atlantic Airline, with flag carrier Thai Airways also affected.
