Ten pilgrims have died in a stampede at the Hindu festival of Astami Snan at Narayanganj in Bangladesh. Every year, up to a million devotees flock to Narayanganj to ritually bathe in the waters of the Brahmaputra River, one of the most sacred rivers in the Hindu religion.
