Hermitage Museum to open Moscow branch in old car factory
St Petersburg’s State Hermitage Museum is planning to open a new branch in Moscow. It will occupy the space of the 1960s ZIL car factory building in the south of the city. The new branch will focus on contemporary art and it will not only host exhibitions but also performances and lectures. It will follow the model already used for developing the museum’s other satellite branches in Kazan, Vyborg and Amsterdam. Read more: calvertjournal.com
