Waikiki Beach threatened by weather erosion

Waikiki Beach, Hawaii’s most popular waterfront on Oʻahu, is disappearing. The vanishing act began last year when the beachfront near Royal Hawaiian Hotel started showing signs of weather erosion. Last week, officials began noticing how much of the beach had been lost and began erecting signs and closing off access. Officials blame unusual weather patterns that are causing erosion on some parts of the shore, but are hopeful that the weather patterns will shift and replace what has been lost. Read more: kitv.com
