US spring breakers urged to avoid Mexico

It’s almost time for the annual Spring Break in the USA but this year a perennial favorite with those looking for fun in the sun has been put on a ‘don’t go’ list. Texas’ Department of Public Safety has issued a warning, advising people not to travel to Mexico because of the ongoing problems with drug-related crime. Texas borders northern Mexico where a lot of the violence has occurred over the last few years. The federal government’s State Department has no similar warning in place. Read more: travelweekly.com
