New ferry is good news for marine safety in Tanzania

Tanzania’s marine safety record has taken some serious knocks over the past few decades, with a series of accidents off the coast and on both Lake Tanganyika and Lake Victoria. With that in mind, the country’s president has just inaugurated the MV Dar es Salaam, a new ferry that will soon launch sailings between Dar es Salaam and Bagamoyo. The vessel will carry up to 300 passengers, plus cargo. Read more: eturbonews.com
