Google 'street view' zips through the Amazon rainforest

Google has teamed up with environmental protection group Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS) to show users what it’s like to zip through trees in the Amazon Jungle. Google supplied FAS with its Trekker camera, which is typically mounted on an apparatus that is carried by hikers along trails. Instead of using it this way, FAS sent the Trekker down a zip line over the Amazonian canopies. Read more: nytimes.com
