Whale sharks sighted off Western Australia for start of the season

Tourism operators are gearing up for what looks like a promising season for whale shark encounters from now until August along the Coral Coast in Western Australia. Tours operating at World Heritage listed Ningaloo Reef enable people to swim and dive with the 18m-long fish. The weakening Australian dollar has Australian tourism officials expecting an increase in international visitors this year, heading down under for unique wildlife experiences.
