Sunday shopping 'tourist zones' get the go ahead in France

A proposal to introduce tourist zones for Sunday shopping in France has been backed by French lawmakers in a vote on Friday. Shops in designated zones along Champs-Élysees and other key shopping districts in Paris, as well as parts of Nice and Cannes, will open every Sunday and until midnight every night in an effort to rejuvenate the nation’s economy.
