‘Lewis and Clark’ miniseries will film in Canada

Executives at HBO have announced a green light for a six-hour miniseries based on Stephen Ambrose’s Undaunted Courage, a biography of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. Sources close to the production have also said that much of the show will be shot in southern Alberta, with additional screen time being given to Montana landscapes. Lewis and Clark were commissioned by US President Thomas Jefferson to explore the western territories after the Louisiana Purchase in 1803. The miniseries will feature Casey Affleck as Lewis and Matthias Schoenaerts from Belgium as Clark. Read more: billingsgazette.com
