Indian PM appalled by temple in his honour

Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi, is reported to be ‘appalled’ at the announcement that a new temple has been constructed in his name in a village in Gujarat. In place of a Hindu deity, the temple has a statue of the former Gujarat chief minister in its inner sanctum, which the PM condemned as being against India’s traditions.
