French artist's painting is most expensive ever sold

A painting by French artist Paul Gauguin has broken the record to become the world’s most expensive artwork ever to be sold at a reported price of US$300 million. The artwork, previously on loan to the Kunstmuseum in Basel for 50 years, was painted in 1892 and titled Nafea Faa Ipoipo, or When Will You Marry? and is of two Tahitian girls.
