Nepal's tigers benefit from Leonardo DiCaprio boost

Tiger numbers are increasing significantly in Nepal’s Bardia National Park according to a new survey by park officials. The tiger population has increased from around 50 animals in 2013 to more than 70 today, and the park is becoming an increasingly popular destination for wildlife spotters, helped by a visit from Leonardo DiCaprio in 2010. Tiger conservation is becoming a big success story for Nepal, and conservation efforts received a major boost in 2013 with a $3 million donation from the charitable Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.
