Cameras capture images of rare fox in Yosemite

The Sierra Nevada red fox hasn’t been seen for over a century in Yosemite National Park but two images of the extremely rare animal have been taken by cameras in the park in recent months, and wildlife enthusiasts are thrilled. There are fewer than 50 of these red foxes in the whole of North America since hunting almost entirely wiped them out, so proof that one has returned to Yosemite is cause for qualified celebration.
