Hong Kong man opens home as Umbrella-themed hotel

A resident of Hong Kong has turned his apartment into an Occupy Central-themed hotel. Stephen Thompson collected paraphernalia from the Umbrella Revolution sites as they were being cleaned up and used them to decorate his flat and turn it into a guesthouse on Airbnb. Yellow umbrellas, posters, gas masks and construction helmets line the walls, and several Occupy tents provide sleeping quarters for guests. Thompson hopes his guesthouse will be a reminder of the 2014 pro-democracy protests and the spur city’s ongoing democracy movement. Read more: cnn.com
