First ever video footage of elusive African golden cat captured

Conservationists in Uganda’s Kibale Forest National Park have recorded the first ever video of Africa’s least-studied wild feline, the African golden cat. The two sections of footage show two very different takes on life of one of the world’s most elusive animals: one showing the cat attacking a group of monkeys, the other featuring an African golden cat being harassed in a tree by primates. This camera trap film follows the recent publication of the first photographs of the rare species. Read more: theguardian.com
