Tourists venture back to Lebanon’s Tripoli

Lebanon’s northern city of Tripoli has been largely off limits to both domestic and foreign travellers for years as violence related to the conflict in Syria has affected the region. But one tour operator, Mira Minkara, has started bringing groups of visitors back to Tripoli. Her tours include bazaars, the St. George Greek Orthodox Church and Mamluk-era bathhouse and she seeks to reassure tourists that the city is calm enough to visit.
