Drones banned within 30 miles of Super Bowl

The Federal Aviation Administration announced that the Super Bowl in Phoenix, AZ, on Sunday will be a ‘No Drone Zone’. The FAA will ban unmanned aircraft from within 30 miles of the stadium an hour before the game begins, and it will continue the ban for several hours after. Aviation officials report an increasing number of incidents where drones have gotten too close to commercial aircraft, with many exceeding the 400ft elevation limit and going as high as 2000ft.
