Hopes fade of finding AirAsia crash victims

The Indonesian navy has withdrawn from the AirAsia Flight 8501 recovery operation, a decision that could mean 92 bodies still unaccounted for may never be recovered. Strong currents and poor visibility in the Java Sea has hampered efforts to raise the jet’s fuselage, which is believed to contain some bodies. Indonesia’s search-and-rescue agency, which has led the recovery effort, will continue the operation on its own on a smaller scale. Read more: channelnewsasia.com
