Love note sparks bomb scare in Padua

Police evacuated the Piazza dei Signori in Padua at the weekend, after a plastic cylinder, suspected to be a bomb, was spotted attached to the San Clemente church with wire. After a controlled explosion, the cylinder was found to be a ‘geocache’ (part of an online treasure hunt) containing a love note that read ‘In this corner of Piazza dei Signori we had our first kiss. Alice and Alberto’, a little bell with a red bow and a copper pendant. Read more: thelocal.it
