AirAsia scraps fuel surcharges on all its carriers
Citing falling oil prices, Southeast Asia’s biggest budget airline has dropped fuel surcharges on all of its carriers including low-cost long haul affiliates AirAsia X, Thai AirAsia X and Indonesia AirAsia X, effective from Monday. The airline was the first to abolish fuel surcharge for all flights back in 2008, however rocketing fuel prices forced it to re-introduce fuel surcharge into its fares in 2011.
