New Zealand launches new safe driving website for tourists

A new website designed to give visitors information they need to enjoy a safe driving holiday is being launched in New Zealand today. DriveSafe.org.nz provides info on New Zealand road rules and etiquette as well road conditions. It offers guidance to visiting drivers at three key stages of their trip – before they arrive, when they pick up their rental vehicle and during their journey around New Zealand. However critics say the government hasn’t gone far enough and foreign drivers should be tested for competency and banned from driving for 24 hours after a long haul flight. Read more:  nzhearld.co.nz
