Inner Mongolian desert to become a national park

A desert in China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is to become a national desert park. The park will cover 353 hectares of the giant one-million-hectare Ulan Buh Desert in the northwest part of the province, bordering on Mongolia. The project will introduce anti-desertification measures and authorities hope that the park will become an education centre and tourist destination after its completion in 2032.
