Biggest carnival in Greece still going strong after 180 years

Patra, in the Peloponnese, is home to Greece’s biggest carnival which starts its month-long festivities on the 17th of January. The carnival has been going on for 180 years, and this year it will again feature parades, dance shows, concerts, entertainment for children and other traditional events. The programme will end on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of February with the Night Parade and the Grand Parade. Read more: visitgreece.gr
