Trains suspended between Tanzania and Zambia

A union strike has paralysed train services between Tanzania and Zambia. The Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority (Tazara) is said to be running at a loss and, according to union officials, workers have not been paid in five months. The trains transport copper and timber between the two countries, but are often used by people in rural communities as well as travellers. Read more: bbc.co.uk
