US subway riders celebrate trouser-free commutes

In commuter lines and public transportation systems across the US, riders doffed pants (meaning trousers) for the annual ‘No Pants Subway Ride’ on Sunday. Started as a prank in 2002, the slacks-free day has taken off across the US, with leggy mobs of riders in cities like Seattle, BostonSan Francisco and New York braving the cold and heading out for a trouser-free commute.
