Hawaii bike share program gets approval for 2016

The City of Honolulu has announced plans for a bike sharing program due to open in 2016. The plan, which has been discussed for years, will include 200 bike stations and 2000 bikes in its first phase. Riders will be able to pick up bikes around the island and rent them for a few hours or a whole day for a small fee. Though the actual cost of a bike rental is still being decided, program organizers assure visitors and residents that the program will be ‘cost friendly’. Read more: kitv.com
