Sea turtle washes up on shore in Pacific Northwest

A lost sea turtle has been found washed up on a beach in Washington State. This is the second time in a month that a sea turtle has been found in waters around the Pacific Northwest, which are typically too cold for the tropical species. The turtle was transferred to Seaside Aquarium in Seaside, Oregon, on Monday and staff quickly began trying to warm the turtle up. Veterinary personnel will keep a close eye on the sea turtle before transferring it to California to be released back into the wild. The previous sea turtle, found on a Washington beach on 21 December, has been transferred to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, where she is doing well. Read more: kval.com
