Free cinema and pool passes for homeless in Melbourne

The City of Melbourne will be giving homeless people living in the city free entry to swimming pools and cinema tickets so they can escape the worst of the summer heat this year. The heatwave strategy also includes opening shelters out of hours advising homeless Melburnians, estimated to be around 1300 people, on the best cool shaded areas to ride out the extreme weather conditions.
