Search for AirAsia black box intensifies as more bodies recovered

Calm waters aided the search for the debris and passengers of missing Indonesia AirAsia flight QZ8501 on Monday, with the number of recovered bodies reportedly now standing at 37. The main focus of the search is about 90 nautical miles off the coast of Kalimantan, where several large objects believed to be parts of the plane were pinpointed by sonar. Searching ships, however, have yet to detect ‘pings’ from the plane’s black box, which may not be found with the wreckage if the plane split or cracked when it crashed. Read more: straitstimes.com
