Stonehenge attracted 1.3 million visitors this year, a new record. Barack Obama, David Cameron and a group of WWE wrestlers are among those who have toured the famous English stone circle, with numbers up 9% on 2013. Stonehenge’s £27 million visitor centre opened on 18 December last year, in a revamp that also saw the road near the stones grassed over – visitors now reach the circle by shuttle bus.
