Kerala dilutes drink ban after opposition from the tourist industry

Kerala looks set to remove some of the more stringent clauses from its ban on alcohol following opposition from the tourist industry. The planned ‘dry’ day for Sundays will be abandoned, and hotels will be able to apply for a licence to sell wines and beers, though spirits will still be banned. Read more: bbc.co.uk
