Taiwan offers hotel discounts for water conservation efforts

Travellers to Taiwan will be able to avail of discounted hotel fares if they participate in a new water conservation programme. The country’s tourism bureau is offering NT$100 vouchers to travellers staying at one of 79 participating hotels if they opt out of having their sheets and towels washed each day. The programme aims to draw attention to water conservation issues and the fact that Taiwan is currently suffering one of the worst droughts in 10 years. Read more: chinapost.com.tw
