Atari ET video game found in dump to join Smithsonian Collection

A 1980s Atari video game of ET will be joining the likes of Abraham Lincoln’s top hat in the Smithsonian Collection, America’s huge store of historically or culturally important artifacts many of which are on display at the Smithsonian museums in Washington DC. The cartridge was one of a stash found dumped in landfill in New Mexico. It is not currently on display at the museum. Read more: nytimes.com
