US set for record-breaking holiday travel numbers

The American Automobile Association (AAA) are predicting that record-breaking numbers of people will travel over the holiday season in the US. The lowest fuel prices in five years, combined with an improved economy and the fact that public holidays are falling close to weekends mean that a record 99 million Americans will travel more than 50 miles by car over the holiday season, according to the AAA. The previous record was set last year when 94.8 million people took to the roads. Read more: usatoday.com
