As part of a renovation of the Alaska Airlines fleet, leather material from aircraft passenger seats is being recycled as handbags and fashionable accessories. In cooperation with Mariclaro, a Canadian design company with a focus on sustainable products, the bags range from briefcases to shoulder bags, and all are known by airport codes – you can choose between the JFK purse or the SEA shoulder bag.
