New finds from Antikythera shipwreck on display

Three new discoveries from the Antikythera shipwreck have been presented to the public in Greece. The new findings include a spear that was part of a statue, a piece of a plank and an oinochoe (jug). The ‘Return to Antikythera’ project brought together an international group of scientists for underwater excavations at the site where the famous ‘Antikythera mechanism’ (ancient device that tracked the solar-system cycles) was discovered in 1900.
