Nepal adds 5000 hotel rooms in 2014

Hotels and guesthouses in Nepal have added 5000 new bedrooms in 2014, significantly increasing the tourist capacity in the country. More than 60 hotels opened in Kathmandu during the last year, with Pokhara and Birgunj also seeing significant increases. While long-haul tourism to Nepal has faced difficulties following a series of high profile natural disasters, tourism from India and China is increasing steadily year on year. Read more: ekantipur.com
