New transport hub helps Orange County go green

Southern California is known for its busy freeways and up until now Orange County has been no exception, but the opening of a new transit hub is being hailed as a major step forward in integrating public transport in the region. The Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), close to Disneyland and other local sights, combines bus, cycle, trains and cars and will ultimately be a station on the state’s high-speed rail link. While the design and aims of the hub have been praised, critics say that it’s unlikely to get as much use as developers would like. Read more: latimes.com
