Business owners in Vienna vote for Sunday ‘tourist zone’ shopping

A survey carried out by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce has shown that the majority of business owners surveyed, vote in favour of shops opening on Sundays in the city. The only shops open to tourists in Vienna currently are museum shops, and supermarkets at large railway stations and the airport. Talks between the city council and the social partners will now determine whether the plans go ahead. Read more: thelocal.at
