Japanese bank to accept foreign cards at ATMs

Major Japanese bank Mizuho Financial Group has announced that foreign-issued cards will be accepted at some of its branches from April 2015. This would be the first of the Japanese banks to offer the service to foreigners, who are currently largely restricted to using ATMs at post offices or Seven Eleven stores. Mizuho has stated the service will be rolled out across all its ATMs by the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Read more: japantimes.co.jp
