Costa Rica in talks over free national wifi network

Soon travellers could be able to access free wifi from street corners across Costa Rica thanks to an innovative tech project that would incorporate wifi hubs into street lights. The wifi network could have a reach of up to 500m from each lamp post and might include closed-circuit video surveillance. The LED lighting concept has been designed by a South Korean company and is being touted as an environmentally friendly project. Read more: ticotimes.net
