New dance theatre and museum for East London as Olympic Stadium goes cultural

The site of the 2012 Olympic Games is to become a new cultural quarter. The site already includes parkland, an aquatics centre and a stadium (which will be used by football team West Ham United). They will be joined by a new Sadler’s Wells dance theatre, a museum run by the V&A and two university campuses. The government is investing £141 million in the scheme, which is expected to attract 1.5 million visitors to London. Read more: standard.co.uk
